§101-51  Definitions.  As used herein: 
"Public property" means real property (1) owned by a political
subdivision of the State or (2) owned by the State in its own right and not
owned by the United States.  "Public property" shall not be deemed to
include public lands, defined to be such by section 171-2. [L 1949, c 377, pt
