§105-6  Inscription on state motorvehicles.  Unless excepted, every motor vehicle owned or controlled by theState shall bear on both sides thereof a facsimile of the state seal andbeneath the seal the words "For Official Use Only" and the name ofthe department, commission, board, bureau, office, agency, or instrumentalitythereof controlling or possessing such motor vehicle.  This section shall notapply to such motor vehicles as are furnished the governor, lieutenantgovernor, chief justice of the supreme court, and the president of theUniversity of Hawaii or to such motor vehicles as are used in any ridesharingprogram of the State, for undercover investigative work, law enforcement, andother functions as approved by the comptroller.  Motor vehicles owned orcontrolled by the University of Hawaii may bear the University of Hawaii logoor seal, or both, in lieu of the state seal.
