§121-41  Uniform maintenance allowance forenlisted personnel.  [(a)]  Enlisted personnel of the army or air nationalguard while participating in annual training or year-round training, whenfederal pay is authorized, or when ordered to state active duty in accordancewith section 121-30, shall, except when actually called or ordered into theservice of the United States by or under the authority of the President,receive a uniform maintenance allowance of $1.50 per day from the State.

[(b)]  Enlisted personnel of the army or airnational guard who receive a uniform maintenance allowance from the statedepartment of defense, regardless of the source of the funds, may designate afinancial institution account into which the department of accounting and generalservices is authorized to deposit the member's uniform maintenance allowance.[L 1967, c 196, pt of §1; HRS §121-41; am L 1969, c 15, §1(b); am L 1975, c 49,§2; am L 2005, c 171, §5]
