§128-14 - Mobile support units.
§128-14 Mobile support units. (a) Thegovernor may create and establish mobile support units for the reinforcement ofcivil defense organizations in stricken areas with due consideration of theplans of the federal government. The governor shall appoint a commander foreach unit who shall have primary responsibility for the organization,administration, and operation of the unit. Mobile support units shall becalled to duty upon orders of the governor and shall perform their functions inany part of the State.
(b) All personnel of mobile support unitsshall, while on duty, be subject to the operational control of the authority incharge of civil defense activities in the area in which they are serving, and,in addition to any other compensation to which they may be entitled, shall bereimbursed for their travel and other reasonable and necessary expenses.
