§128-4 - Civil defense advisory council.
§128-4 Civil defense advisory council. To provide a public body with whom the governor may consult and by whom thegovernor may be advised in the performance of the governor's duties and in theexercise of the governor's powers in matters pertaining to civil defense, thereshall be a civil defense advisory council, called the "council" whichshall consist of seven members to be appointed by the governor, one of whomshall be designated as chairperson. The council on the request of the governorshall confer with and advise the governor in regard to matters pertaining tocivil defense. Members of the council shall receive no compensation, but shallbe reimbursed for their travel and other reasonable and necessary expensesincurred. Persons holding public office or employment in the state government,or any political subdivision thereof, are eligible for appointment to thecouncil.
