PART VI. BEEF, PORK, AND POULTRY CARCASSES

 

§147-91  Standard grades; rules andregulations.  The department of agriculture shall adopt standard grades forbeef, pork, mutton, and lamb carcasses and make rules and regulations relatingthereto, subject to chapter 91, which shall have the force and effect of law,and shall be applicable only to carcasses previously inspected and passed forwholesomeness.  The rules and regulations may include provisions for theenforcement thereof, including the definitions of prohibited acts and thepenalties therefor, and may fix reasonable fees for the grading services,furnished under this part.  The fees shall be on a uniform basis and in anamount reasonably necessary to cover the cost of inspection and the administrationof this part, but not to exceed the maximum fees charged by the federal gradingservice.
