[§171-121]  Molokai forest lands, managementprogram established.  (a)  There is established in the department of landand natural resources a Molokai forest lands management program to accelerateimproved management of Molokai forest lands, including improved management inthe following areas:

(1)  Internal access;

(2)  Scheduling of tree harvesting; and

(3)  Scheduling of new plantings and replantings bydesignated areas with priority to harvesting and replanting for sustainedyields of fast growing species suitable for energy production known to thrivein this State.  Such new planting and replanting shall not include the use ofnative forest and watershed land.

(b)  The board of land and natural resourcesshall adopt rules under chapter 91 to implement this section. [L 1983, c 250,§2]
