§171-36.2 Public lands for historic
preservation and restoration. (a) Any law to the contrary
notwithstanding, the board may lease public lands in the State for use in
historic preservation and restoration projects:
(1) Through negotiations; and
(2) For a price which shall be determined by the
board.
(b) The department shall adopt rules pursuant
to chapter 91 to determine what constitutes historic preservation and
restoration projects for the purposes of this section; provided that no
definition or criteria established shall conflict with any federal, state, or
county law.
(c) All subleases of land disposed of pursuant
to this section shall be subject to the approval of the board. [L 1985, c 33,
