§171-72  Subdivision, improvement and leaseof public lands.  Any public land suitable for residential use, includingsingle-family, multiple-family, apartment, cluster, and row housing andsituated in a locality suitable for the general type of residentialconstruction anticipated by the board of land and natural resources, may besubdivided and improved in accordance with this part; provided that any suchlands being subdivided for single-family residence shall be subdivided intolots of not less than five thousand square feet and not more than fifteenthousand square feet.  The subdivision shall comply with appropriate county orcity and county zoning and subdivision requirements; provided that the boardmay put in such other improvements as may be necessary or desirable.  The lotsin the subdivision may be leased by the board under residential leases withoutpublic auction to persons qualified thereunder, without public notice oradvertising, other than as required by this part.
