[§201H-8]  Housing counseling.  The corporationmay provide the following services for the programs it administers:

(1)  Listing and referral services to tenants seekingto rent homes;

(2)  Counseling to tenants on matters such asfinancial management and budgeting, basic housekeeping, communicatingeffectively and getting along with others, and other matters as may bedesirable or necessary;

(3)  Counseling to prospective homeowners on therudiments of owning a home;

(4)  Assistance to any person or government agencyregarding the nature and availability of federal assistance for housingdevelopment and community development or redevelopment;

(5)  Counseling and guidance services to aid:  anyperson or government agency in securing the financial aid or cooperation of thefederal government in undertaking, constructing, maintaining, operating, orfinancing any housing designated for elders; persons displaced by governmentalaction; university and college students and faculty; and any other persons; and

(6)  Assistance to a county agency upon request fromthe agency in the development of programs to correct or eliminate blight anddeterioration and to effect community development. [L 2005, c 196, pt of §20;am L 2006, c 180, §15]
