§201-102  Advisory committees.  (a)  Thedirector of business, economic development, and tourism may form advisorycommittees to assist in the formulation of recommendations concerning thedevelopment of markets for recycled materials.  The recommendations shalladdress the removal of impediments to, as well as the establishment ofincentives for, the use of recycled materials by businesses or energy producersin order to expand markets for recyclable materials.

(b)  At the discretion of the director, committeemembers may include, but need not be limited to:

(1)  The director of health;

(2)  The director of the office of planning;

(3)  The chairperson of the board of land and naturalresources;

(4)  The comptroller;

(5)  The chairperson of the public utilitiescommission;

(6)  The director of transportation;

(7)  The county integrated solid waste managementcoordinators;

(8)  One representative each from the not-for-profitrecycling industry, the for-profit recycling industry, the solid wastecollection industry, the recycling processing industry, the recycling brokerageand marketing industry, the shipping industry, and an  environmental advocacygroup; and

(9)  An elected official from each county;
