§206-20 Contracts with federal government. In addition to the powers conferred upon the board of land and naturalresources by other provisions of this chapter, the board may borrow money oraccept grants from the federal government for or in aid of any project whichthe board is authorized to undertake, take over any land acquired by thefederal government for the construction or operation of a development project,take over or lease or manage any development project constructed or owned bythe federal government, and to these ends, enter into such contracts,mortgages, leases, or other agreements as the federal government may require,including agreements authorizing the federal government to supervise andapprove the construction, maintenance, and operation of the project. It is thepurpose and intent of this chapter to authorize the board to do any and allthings necessary to secure the financial aid and the cooperation of the federalgovernment in the undertaking, construction, maintenance, and operation of anyproject which the board is empowered to undertake.
