§261-2  Development of aeronautics, general. The department of transportation shall have general supervision overaeronautics within the State.  It shall encourage, foster, and assist in thedevelopment of aeronautics in the State and encourage the establishment ofairports and air navigation facilities.  It shall cooperate with and assist thefederal government and other persons in the development of aeronautics andshall seek to coordinate the aeronautical activities of the State with those ofthe federal government.  Municipalities may cooperate with the department inthe development of aeronautics and aeronautics facilities in the State.
