§264-65 New and existing facilities;grade-crossing eliminations. The director of transportation may designateand establish controlled-access highways as new and additional facilities ormay designate and establish an existing public highway as included within acontrolled-access facility. The director may provide for the elimination ofintersections at grade of controlled-access facilities with existing publichighways by grade separation or service road, or by closing off the highways atthe right-of-way boundary line of the controlled-access facility; and after theestablishment of any controlled-access facility, no highway which is not partof the facility shall intersect the same at grade. No public highway shall beopened into or connected with any such controlled-access facility without theconsent and previous approval of the director.
