§264-75  Compensation for removal ofoutdoor advertising. (a)  The director of transportation may acquire bypurchase, gift, or condemnation, and pay just compensation upon the removal ofany outdoor advertising lawfully erected.

(1)  Those lawfully in existence on October 22,1965.

(2)  Those lawfully on any federal-aid or statehighway on or after October 22, 1965, and before January 1, 1968.

(3)  Those lawfully erected on or afterJanuary 1, 1968.

(b)  The compensation will be paid only for thefollowing:

(1)  The taking from the owner of the outdooradvertising of all right, title, leasehold, and interest therein; and

(2)  The taking from the owner of the real property onwhich the outdoor advertising is located, of the right to erect and maintainthe outdoor advertising thereon. [L 1966, c 45, pt of §2; HRS §264-75; am L1975, c 39, §2]
