§268-14  Payment of claims.  Thedepartment of transportation may upon such terms and conditions as it mayimpose and under such rules and regulations as it may adopt, pay claims arisingunder its operation of ferries or terminals or compromise or settle theclaims.  No claim shall be paid by the department or any settlement orcompromise thereof be made except from its operating revenues derived from itsoperation of ferries or terminals or from the proceeds of insurance recoveries.[L 1963, c 186, §13; Supp, §114-13; HRS §268-14]
