G.  Environmental Center



 



[§304A-1551]  Environmental center;
structure and functions.  (a)  There is created within the university an
environmental center.  The center shall assist the director of environmental
quality control as provided for under section 341-4.



(b)  The center shall be so constituted as to
make most effective the contribution of the university to the problems of
determining and maintaining optimum environmental quality.  Its membership
shall be comprised of those members of the university community actively
concerned with ecological and environmental problems.



(c)  The functions of the center shall be to
stimulate, expand, and coordinate education, research, and service efforts of
the university related to ecological relationships, natural resources, and
environmental quality, with special relation to human needs and social
institutions, particularly with regard to the State. [L 2006, c 75, pt of §2]
