G.  Environmental Center

 

[§304A-1551]  Environmental center;structure and functions.  (a)  There is created within the university anenvironmental center.  The center shall assist the director of environmentalquality control as provided for under section 341-4.

(b)  The center shall be so constituted as tomake most effective the contribution of the university to the problems ofdetermining and maintaining optimum environmental quality.  Its membershipshall be comprised of those members of the university community activelyconcerned with ecological and environmental problems.

(c)  The functions of the center shall be tostimulate, expand, and coordinate education, research, and service efforts ofthe university related to ecological relationships, natural resources, andenvironmental quality, with special relation to human needs and socialinstitutions, particularly with regard to the State.
