J.  Medical Education Council

 

[§304A-1701]  Definitions.  As used inthis subpart:

"Centers for Medicaid and MedicareServices" means the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services within theUnited States Department of Health and Human Services.

"Council" means the medical educationcouncil created under section [304A-1703].

"Graduate medical education" meansthat period of clinical training of a physician following receipt of themedical doctor degree and prior to the beginning of an independent practice ofmedicine.

"Graduate medical education program"means a graduate medical education training program accredited by the AmericanCouncil on Graduate Medical Education.

"Healthcare training program" means ahealthcare training program that is accredited by a nationally-recognizedaccrediting body. [L 2006, c 75, pt of §2]
