B.  University Parking

 

[§304A-2601]  Parking; control by board ofregents.  (a)  The board of regents may make rules governing the trafficand parking conditions on the roadways and other areas under the jurisdictionof the university.

(b)  The board may:

(1)  Assess fees for parking on roadways and in theparking areas under the jurisdiction of the university;

(2)  Install parking meters on roadways and in parkingareas; and

(3)  Make rules relating to the assessments of feesfor parking and the installation of parking meters.  The rules shall be adoptedpursuant to chapter 91.

The fees shall be deposited in the universityparking revolving fund established under section [304A-2275].

(c)  For the purposes of this subpart, parkingfacilities shall be considered university projects, and the board shall possessall powers conferred by [subpart D]. [L 2006, c 75, pt of §2]
