[§304A-503]  Hawaii opportunity program ineducation.  There is established the Hawaii opportunity program ineducation (HOPE) to be placed within the University of Hawaii foradministrative purposes to support financially needy students, with priority givento students from ethnic groups that are underrepresented in the studentpopulation of the university.  The university is encouraged to provide tuitionwaivers and seek private donations for scholarship support for HOPE students.[L 2006, c 75, pt of §2]
