[§321-1.6]  Additional duties of thedirector.  Any health center previously designated as a Federally QualifiedHealth Center (FQHC), FQHC look alike, or Rural Health Clinic (RHC) shall havecomparable designation as a Hawaii Qualified Health Center and shall also beknown as Essential Community Providers.  The director of health, with theconcurrence of the director of human services, shall have the authority todesignate other Hawaii health centers not yet federally designated butdeserving of support to meet short term public health needs based on thedepartment of health's criteria, as Hawaii Qualified Health Centers.
