§321-15.1  Definitions.  Whenever usedin this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:

"Adult residential care home" meansany facility providing twenty-four-hour living accommodations, for a fee, toadults unrelated to the family, who require at least minimal assistance in theactivities of daily living, personal care services, protection, and health careservices, but who do not need the professional health services provided in anintermediate, skilled nursing, or acute care facility.

"Asbestos abatement project designer"means a person who is accredited to determine how the asbestos abatement workshould be conducted.

"Asbestos inspector" means a personwho is accredited to identify asbestos-containing building material and toassess its physical condition.

"Asbestos management planner" means aperson who is accredited to use the data gathered by asbestos inspectors toassess the current or potential hazard posed by the asbestos-containingbuilding material, to determine the appropriate response actions, and todevelop a schedule for implementing these response actions.

"Assisted living facility" means acombination of housing, health care services, and personalized supportiveservices designed to respond to individual needs, to promote choice,responsibility, independence, privacy, dignity, and individuality.

"Expanded adult residential carehome" means any facility providing twenty-four-hour living accommodations,for a fee, to adults unrelated to the family, who require at least minimal assistancein the activities of daily living, personal care services, protection, andhealth care services, and who may need the professional health servicesprovided in an intermediate or skilled nursing facility.

"Hospice home" means any facilityoperated by a licensed hospice service agency providing twenty-four-hour livingaccommodations to no more than five unrelated persons who are admitted forhospice service.
