§321-32  Epidemiological specialists. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, epidemiological specialists mayperform blood collection by venipuncture or capillary puncture and othermethods of specimen collection, excluding catheterization, when employed by oracting as an agent of the department and when done under the direct or indirectsupervision of a physician or osteopathic physician licensed pursuant tochapter 453.
