§325-71 Reports by physicians and others. (a) Every physician, and every individual in charge of an inpatient oroutpatient health care facility, shall report in writing to the department ofhealth the identity of and epidemiologic information concerning every personknown or suspected to have tuberculosis and shall, upon request, provide to thedepartment x-ray films and medical information from the record of any personknown or suspected by the department to have tuberculosis.
(b) Every director of a laboratory identifyingmycobacterium tuberculosis or organisms which may be mycobacterium tuberculosisin the sputum, body fluids, or tissues of any person, living or dead, shallsubmit a report of such examination in writing to the department of health.
(c) Release of information to the departmentof health pursuant to this section may be made without the prior informedconsent of the individual to whom the information pertains.
(d) A report made by one of the above chargedindividuals does not absolve the others from their individual reportingresponsibilities.
