[§328-95]  Establishment of drug productselection board.  (a)  There is established a drug product selection boardcomposed of one representative from the department of health, onerepresentative from either the University of Hawaii school of medicine or theUniversity of Hawaii school of public health, two physicians, and twopharmacists; to be appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of thesenate, pursuant to section 26-34.  The board shall designate the chairpersonfrom its duly appointed membership.  A seventh member shall be the director ofhealth or the director’s designated representative.

(b)  The drug product selection board shall beplaced, for administrative purposes only, within the department of health.

(c)  The members of the drug product selectionboard shall serve without compensation, but shall be reimbursed for expenses,including travel expenses, incurred in the performance of their duties. [L1980, c 187, pt of §1; gen ch 1985, 1993]
