§332-1  Definition.  The term “mattress”as used in this chapter means any quilted pad, comforter, mattress,mattress-pad, bunk quilt, or cushion, stuffed or filled with wool, hair, orother soft material to be used on a couch or other bed and on which personssleep or recline; provided that:

(1)  The term “mattress” shall not include any itemsconsidered “beddings” under the federal Textile Fiber Products IdentificationAct (15 United States Code §70 et seq.); and
