[§342D-56]  Complaints; hearings;appointment of masters.  The director may:

(1)  Receive or initiate complaints of waterpollution, hold hearings in connection with water pollution, and institutelegal proceedings in the name of the State for the prevention, control, orabatement of water pollution; and

(2)  Appoint a master or masters to conductinvestigations and hearings. [L 1989, c 212, pt of §2]
