§342L-20  Effect of laws, ordinances, andrules.  (a)  All laws, ordinances, and rules inconsistent with this chaptershall be void and of no effect.

(b)  Any county may adopt ordinances and rulesgoverning any matter relating to underground storage tanks or tank systemsthat  are governed by a rule of the department adopted pursuant to thischapter; provided that any county ordinance or rule relating to undergroundstorage tanks or tank systems shall be void and of no effect if inconsistentwith a rule of the department upon the adoption thereof.
