§342L-37  Underground storage tank and tanksystem change in service and closurerequirements.  Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to relieve theowners and operators of underground storage tanks and tank systems that havebeen removed from the ground of any responsibility to comply with the releaseresponse provisions in this chapter and any other requirements applicable tothese owners and operators prior to the removal of the underground storagetanks or tank systems.  The department, pursuant to chapter 91, shall adoptrequirements for the change in service and temporary or permanent closure ofunderground storage tanks and tank systems, including requirements to preventfuture releases of regulated substances into the environment.
