[§346-250]  Immunity from liability.  (a) Anyone participating in good faith in the making of a report pursuant to thispart shall have immunity from any liability, civil or criminal, that might beotherwise incurred or imposed by or as a result of the making of such areport.  Any participant shall have the same immunity with respect toparticipation in any judicial proceeding resulting from that report.

(b)  Any individual who assumes a duty orresponsibility pursuant to this part shall have immunity from civil liabilityfor acts or omissions performed within the scope of the individual's duty orresponsibility.  Nothing in this part shall limit the liability of thedepartment, any other state agency, or any private organization for the conductof individuals acting within the scope of their duties provided immunity underthis section.
