§346-352  Preauthorization exemption forcertain physicians and physician assistants.  [Repeal and reenactment onJuly 1, 2013.  L 2007, c 92, §5.]  Any physician or physician assistantlicensed in this State who treats a medicaid recipient patient suffering fromthe human immunodeficiency virus, acquired immune deficiency syndrome, orhepatitis C, or who is a patient in need of transplant immunosuppressives, mayprescribe any medications approved by the United States Food and DrugAdministration and that are eligible pursuant to the Omnibus BudgetReconciliation Rebates Act and necessary to treat the condition, without havingto comply with the requirements of any preauthorization procedure establishedby any other provision of this chapter.
