[§349-15 Coordination and development ofcaregiver support services.] The executive office on aging shallcoordinate a statewide system of caregiver support services by, among otherthings:
(1)Ā Integrating family caregiver support with theaging and disability resource center demonstration project;
(2)Ā Analyzing the long-term care needs of olderadults and the capacity of family and informal caregivers to help them remainsafely at home;
(3)Ā Advocating, mobilizing, and coordinating employerand community resources to enable and augment family caregiver support;
(4)Ā Establishing and maintaining protocols andstandards for federal and state caregiver services administered by state,county, or other local agencies on aging;
(5)Ā Establishing and supervising the alignment oflong-term care advocacy assistance staff caregiver support objectives with theplanning, resource development, grants management, data management, andevaluation functions of the executive office on aging; and
(6) Coordinating statewide support for grandparentsand other aging relative caregivers of children eighteen and under. [L 2006, c262, §5]
