§353F-4 Composition; expenses. (a) The corrections population management commission shall consist of elevenmembers. The state attorney general, the director of public safety, arepresentative of the county departments of the prosecuting attorney to beselected by the prosecuting attorneys, the state public defender, thechairperson of the Hawaii paroling authority, the president of the senate, andthe speaker of the house of representatives, or their designatedrepresentatives, shall be members of the commission. The chief justice of theHawaii supreme court shall appoint one judge and one adult probationadministrator of the judiciary as members of the commission. The governorshall appoint one member from the private sector who is knowledgeable on issuespertaining to reintegrating offenders into the community. Additionally, thechairperson of the Hawaii paroling authority shall appoint one rehabilitatedoffender, who is knowledgeable on issues pertaining to reintegrating offendersinto the community, as a member of the commission.
(b) The members of the commission shall servewithout compensation but shall be reimbursed for expenses necessary in theperformance of their duties.
