§353-101  Authorization to director ofpublic safety or the appropriate officer and the governor.  The director ofpublic safety, or the appropriate officer with the approval of the governor, isauthorized for the State to enter into contracts with the director of theBureau of Prisons or the appropriate officers of the United States for theimprisonment, subsistence, care, and proper employment of federal and militaryprisoners.  The director of public safety or the appropriate officer shall bevested with such functions, powers, and duties which are necessary to carry outthe foregoing purpose.
