§354D-8  Business operations; budget. (a)  The administrator may purchase or cause to be purchased and maintained allnecessary materials, supplies, space, services, and equipment required for theoperation of the program.

(b)  All acquisitions, purchases, and loanrepayments of the administrator shall be payable from the revenues derived fromthe sale of goods and services authorized by this chapter.

(c)  The administrator, with the approval ofthe director, may enter into loan arrangements with the director of finance orother organizations when funds are needed for a new or expanded program.

(d)  The director or a designatedrepresentative shall make regular reports, including monthly operatingstatements and annual finance reports.  The director shall provide the annualoperating report for the correctional industries program to the governor andthe legislature.

(e)  The administrator shall submit a proposedannual budget of the correctional industries program as part of the totalbudget of the department of public safety.  The advisory committee shall reviewthe budget of the correctional industries program.
