§363-1  Definitions.  Unless the contextclearly requires a different meaning, when used in this chapter:

"Dependent" of a veteran means anyperson who received from a veteran the person's principal support prior toentry or following entry of the veteran into any of the armed services orfollowing the veteran's discharge from any of the armed services.  It includesa dependent of a person currently serving in the service and a former dependentof a discharged or deceased veteran and of a person who has died in suchservice.  It shall not include a dependent of a person discharged under otherthan honorable conditions.

"Director" means the director of theoffice of veterans' services.

"Family" of a veteran means membersof the immediate family of the veteran, or of a person currently serving in anyof the armed services, or of a person who has died in the service, or of adeceased veteran.

"Office" means the office ofveterans' services as constituted under this chapter.

"Veteran" means any person who hasserved in any of the armed services of the United States, or any person who isnow a citizen of the United States who has served in any of the armed servicesof any country which was an ally of the United States in any war or campaign inwhich the United States was also engaged.
