§371-1  Definitions.  When used in thischapter:

"Appeal board" means the labor andindustrial relations appeal board.

"Department" means the department oflabor and industrial relations.

"Director" means the director oflabor and industrial relations.

"Employer" includes every personhaving control or custody of any employment, place of employment, or of anyemployee, but shall not include the United States or the State or any politicalsubdivision thereof.
