§412:1-101  Purpose.  This chapter shallbe liberally construed and applied to promote its underlying purposes andpolicies, which are as follows:

(1)  To simplify, clarify, and modernize the lawsconcerning the regulation, organization, management, and activities offinancial institutions in this State; and

(2)  To provide a comprehensive set of laws applicableto financial institutions. [L 1993, c 350, pt of §1]
