§412:3-102  Change of name.  To changeits name, a Hawaii financial institution shall file an application with thecommissioner and pay the fees as the commissioner may establish.  Theapplication shall be approved if the commissioner is satisfied that the newname complies with this chapter and chapter 414.  Any change of name of a stockfinancial institution pursuant to this section shall be effected in accordancewith chapter 414.  Any change of name shall not affect a financialinstitution's rights, liabilities, or obligations existing prior to theeffective date thereof, and no documents of transfer shall be necessary topreserve the rights, liabilities, or obligations; provided that thecommissioner may require notice to be given to the public and othergovernmental agencies.
