§412:4-101  Forms of deposit.  (a) Except as specifically prohibited by federal law or any provision of thischapter, and subject to section 412:8-200 with respect to trust companies,section 412:9-400 with respect to depository financial services loan companies,and section 412:9-500 with respect to nondepository financial services loancompanies, Hawaii financial institutions may open accounts and accept depositstherein of any type generally accepted by financial institutions in the UnitedStates.

(b)  Hawaii financial institutions may openaccounts and accept deposits therein in the name of one or more persons, in theperson's own right or in a fiduciary or other representative capacity, in anyform of ownership not inconsistent with the laws of this State.
