§414D-279  Resignation of registered agentof foreign corporation.  [Section effective until June 30, 2010.  Forsection effective July 1, 2010, see below.]  (a)  The registered agent of aforeign corporation may resign as agent by signing and delivering to thedepartment director for filing a statement of resignation.  The statement ofresignation may include a statement that the registered office is alsodiscontinued.

(b)  After filing the statement, the registeredagent shall attach the filing receipt to one copy and mail the copy and receiptto the registered office if not discontinued.  The registered agent shall maila second copy to the foreign corporation at its principal office address shownin its most recent annual report.

(c)  The agency is terminated, and theregistered office discontinued if so provided, on the thirty-first day afterthe date on which the statement is filed. [L 2001, c 105, pt of §1]
