[§414D-73] Resignation of registered agent.  (a)  A registered agent may resign asregistered agent by signing and delivering to the department directorfor filing a statement of resignation.  The statement may include a statementthat the registered office is also discontinued.

(b)  A registered agent shall mail one copy tothe registered office (if not discontinued) and asecond copy to the corporation at its principal office.

(c)  The agencyappointment is terminated, and the registered office discontinued if soprovided, on the thirty-first day after the date on which the statement isfiled. [L 2001, c 105, pt of §1]
