[§414-441]  Application to corporationsheretofore authorized to transact business in this State.  Foreigncorporations that are duly authorized to transact business in this State onJuly 1, 2001, for a purpose or purposes for which a corporation might securethe authority under this chapter, shall be entitled to all of the rights andprivileges applicable to foreign corporations procuring certificates ofauthority to transact business in this State under this chapter, and from July1, 2001 the corporations shall be subject to all of the limitations,restrictions, liabilities, and duties prescribed herein for foreigncorporations procuring certificates of authority to transact business in thisState under this chapter.
