§414-63  Resignation of registered agent. [Section effective until June 30, 2010.  For section effective July 1, 2010,see below.]  (a)  A registered agent may resign from the registered agent'sappointment by signing and delivering to the department director for filing thesigned statement of resignation.  The statement may include a statement thatthe registered office is also discontinued.

(b)  The registered agent shall mail one copyto the registered office (if not discontinued) and the other copy to thecorporation at its principal office.

(c)  The appointment of the agent isterminated, and the registered office discontinued if so provided, on thethirty-first day after the date on which the statement was filed. [L 2000, c244, pt of §1; am L 2001, c 129, §18]
