§431:2-212 - Interstate cooperation.
§431:2-212 Interstate cooperation. (a) The commissioner shall to the extent the commissioner deems useful for theproper discharge of the commissioner's responsibilities under this code:
(1) Consult and cooperate with the public officialshaving supervision over insurance in the other states.
(2) Share jointly with any one or more of the otherstates in the employment of actuaries, statisticians, and other insurancetechnicians, whose services or the products thereof are made available and areuseful to the participating states and to the commissioner.
(3) Share jointly with any one or more of the otherstates in establishing and maintaining offices and clerical facilities forpurposes useful to the participating states and to the commissioner.
(b) All arrangements made jointly with any oneor more of the other states under subsection (a) shall be in writing executedon behalf of this State by the commissioner. Any such arrangement, as toparticipation of this State therein, shall be subject to termination by thecommissioner at any time upon reasonable notice.
(c) For the purposes of this code the NationalAssociation of Insurance Commissioners means that voluntary organization of thepublic officials having supervision of insurance in the respective states,districts, and territories of the United States, whatever other name theorganization may hereafter adopt, and in the affairs of which each of thepublic officials are entitled to participate subject to the constitution andbylaws of the organization.
