§431:2-214  The commissioner's education andtraining fund.  (a)  The commissioner may establish a separate funddesignated as the commissioner's education and training fund.

(b)  This fund may be used to compensate orreimburse staff and personnel of the insurance division for education andtraining.  Upon approval by the commissioner, staff and personnel may becompensated or reimbursed for:

(1)  Actual travel expenses in amounts customary forthese expenses;

(2)  A reasonable living expense allowance at a ratecustomary for these expenses;

(3)  Per diem compensation at a customary rate; and

(4)  Any fees or charges necessary to attendeducational and training conferences, workshops, seminars, and any other eventof this nature.

(c)  Any person receiving reimbursement orcompensation from the commissioner's education and training fund shall submitto the commissioner, for approval, a detailed account of all expenses andcompensation necessarily incurred on account of any education and training forthe insurance division.

(d)  The commissioner's education and trainingfund may be used to pay the cost of consumer education and information,including publication of information, brochures, and consumer guides and costsrelated to conferences, workshops, seminars, and any other event of this naturewhich the commissioner sponsors or in which the commissioner or insurancedivision staff participates.
