§431:9-226 Powers conferred by anadjuster's license. (a) An adjuster has authority under the adjuster'slicense only to investigate for, report to, or adjust for the adjuster'sprincipal only on behalf of the insurers if licensed as an independent adjuster,or only on behalf of insureds if licensed as a public adjuster.
(b) An adjuster licensed concurrently as bothan independent and a public adjuster is not permitted to represent both theinsurer and the insured in the same transaction. [L 1987, c 347, pt of §2]
