ยง431:9-232ย  Extension of licenses.ย  (a)ย Prior to the extension of a license, each licensee shall annually pay the feerequired in section 431:7-101.

(b)ย  A license for an adjuster or independentbill reviewer shall be inactivated if a licensee fails to pay any required feesor penalties.

An adjuster or independent bill reviewer whoallows the adjuster's or independent bill reviewer's license to become inactivefor nonpayment of the renewal fee may reinstate that license without thenecessity of a written examination; provided that the adjuster or independentbill reviewer:

(1)ย  Pays the fee and a penalty in the amount of fiftyper cent of the then unpaid fees within twenty-four months from theinactivation date; and

(2)ย  Is in compliance with all requirements of chapter431.

The license shall automatically expire if theadjuster or independent bill reviewer does not reinstate the license within thetwenty-four-month period.

(c)ย  When the commissioner issues or extends alicense, the commissioner shall:

(1)ย  Determine the extension date, which is that dateprior to which the license must be extended; and

(2)ย  Notify the licensee in writing of the extensiondate.
