CHAPTER 11

BASIC DAY CARE LICENSE

39-1101. Policy. [effective until january 1, 2010] It is hereby declared to be the policy of this state to establish a minimum statewide system for the protection of children in day care centers. This system is intended to establish minimum standards, while still leaving primary responsibility for evaluation and selection of day care services with parents. The minimum standards established by this chapter shall not be construed as preempting more stringent regulation by county or city ordinance.
