CHAPTER 29

SPEECH AND HEARING SERVICES PRACTICE ACT

54-2902. Declaration of policy. To protect the public health, safety and welfare, and to provide for administrative supervision, licensure and regulation, every person practicing or offering to practice audiology, speech-language pathology, or hearing aid dealing and fitting services as defined in this chapter, who meets and maintains prescribed standards of competence and conduct, shall be licensed as provided in this chapter. This chapter shall be liberally construed to promote the public interest and to accomplish the purpose stated herein.
